Uniform Information
It is the trustee's policy that all children should attend wearing school uniform. We are very proud of our children in their school uniform and this is actively supported by our parents/carers. When children look smart, they produce smart work. Our school colour is royal blue.

Jewellery
Where children have pierced ears, in the interest of health and safety, the only earrings permitted are very small studs. Earrings should be removed before all P.E. lessons as staff cannot be responsible for the removal of these earrings, nor is the school liable for any loss of property. Children will not be allowed to take part in swimming or P.E. activities unless earrings are removed. No other studs or rings are allowed in any other body part.
The wearing of other jewellery is not permitted except watches, which may be worn but the school or any of its staff are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to any of these articles. Anything of value is brought into the school at the owner’s risk.
Hair and hair accessories
Hair styles for both girls and boys should be simple and easily managed. Extremes of styles or colours are not permitted. The school requests that the children do not have their hair coloured or shaved in elaborate styles. In the interest of health and safety, long hair should be worn tied back. Hair accessories should be in school colours, plain, simple and not too large.
Make up
Make up should not be worn.
Bags
School book bags should be used in KS1 and in KS2 bags brought to school must be of a sensible size, appropriate to the small area of storage space available. The bag should have a hanging strap so it can be hung from a peg.
Mobile phones
These are only allowed for children who are in Year 6 where written parental permission has been given to the school. They are handed in at the Office at the beginning of each school day and children are not allowed to have the phone switched on whilst in the school grounds.
Equal opportunities
It is the Board of Trustee's responsibility to ensure that the uniform meets all regulations concerning equal opportunities. The trustees, along with the Head of Academy, will consider any complaints or requests from parents/carers for individual children to have special dispensation, either for religious or medical reasons, with regard to school uniform. Lubbins Park Primary Academy will be considerate of the needs of different genders, cultures, races and religions.
If parents/carers have financial difficulties, please contact the school office or family support worker.
